The Baltic Sea

Investment Thesis

Rügen is Germany's largest island, but above all a historical and now rediscovered magnet for tourists. It is accessible through the impressive "Rügendamm" from the mainland, a well developed rail network and the newly developed small-scale Autobahn (B96n). An endless variety of architecture, beaches, parks, sights and cultural highlights attracts tourists from all over.

About 10 years ago the the island's real estate reappeared on investors' radars. First, prices went up in the well-known Baltic Sea resorts and then also at other locations. The Wohnen Immobilien Group continues to position itself in places like Binz, Sassnitz and Bergen. Booming tourism and factors such as the connection of the ports to the new 'Silk Road' have created an intact trend.
